When you load a tool in the Space & Astronomy Tools suite, the application retrieves the necessary JavaScript bundles and executes them directly on your CPU. For example, text diffing uses high-speed string analysis algorithms, image operations use canvas context mapping, and cryptographic generators use the secure Web Crypto API. If a task requires heavy multi-threaded processing—such as bulk base64 calculations—we offload the process to a background Web Worker. This prevents the main rendering thread from locking up, keeping the user interface completely fluid. By utilizing the user's hardware, we scale processing power dynamically. For file-based tools, such as the PDF and image suites, the processing is entirely client-side. The file is read using the File System Access API or HTML5 file reader, converted to an ArrayBuffer in local RAM, processed, and then written back as a local Blob download. Once you close the browser tab, the memory is garbage-collected, leaving no trace of the files behind. This makes ToolVines compliant with standard corporate IT policies, allowing employees to format files, parse payloads, and calculate financial figures without violating company data-handling rules.
In our media and document modules, we support PDF 1.7 standards, EAN-13 barcodes, and standard web formats like WebP, PNG, and AVIF. We ensure that metadata is handled cleanly, offering options to strip EXIF parameters to reduce file sizes or keep color profiles intact to preserve image accuracy. The compiled files are guaranteed to render correctly across operating systems, including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux, ensuring that your collaborative projects translate cleanly.
